    Sommaire de carrière

    J'ai fait mes études de médecine et ma spécialisation en médecine interne à l'Université de Montréal. Par la suite, j'ai complété ma formation à Toronto et à Oxford (Royaume-Uni) dans le domaine de la médecine interne pour les femmes enceintes. À mon retour à Montréal en 1986, j'ai complété une maîtrise en sciences biomédicales tout en travaillant dans le Service de médecine obstétricale du Département d'obstétrique et de gynécologie du CHU Sainte-Justine et dans le Service de médecine interne de l'Hôpital Hôtel-Dieu. Je dirige le Service de médecine obstétricale du CHU Sainte-Justine depuis 1992.

    Mon domaine de recherche est la recherche clinique portant sur l'impact des pathologies maternelles sur la croissance fœtale, soit la restriction de croissance intra-utérine et la macrosomie. De manière plus spécifique, je m'intéresse à la prévention de l'hypertension gestationnelle et de la restriction de croissance et aux modifications hémodynamiques maternelles et fœtales des médicaments antihypertenseurs. J'étudie aussi l'impact de l'asthme et des thrombophilies sur l'hypertension artérielle gestationnelle et la croissance fœtale. Dans le domaine du diabète pendant la grossesse, je m'intéresse à la prévention et au dépistage du diabète gestationnel et de la macrosomie fœtale.
