    Intérêts de recherche

    Mes intérêts de recherche englobent deux thèmes reliés à l’urgence pédiatrique :

    • Le premier thème est celui du triage des enfants se présentant à l’urgence. Nous étudions L'échelle de triage et de gravité pédiatrique canadienne afin d’améliorer la fiabilité et la validité de l’outil de triage. Nous sommes des pionniers dans l’évaluation d’un outil de triage informatique pédiatrique. Enfin nous évaluons de nouvelles stratégies permettant d’optimiser l’utilisation des ressources lors du triage à l’urgence.
    • Le deuxième thème de recherche est celui des traumatismes mineurs en pédiatrie. Les blessures sportives telles les entorses de la cheville sont souvent qualifiées de mineures même si elles ont des répercussions importantes pour les patients et pour les systèmes de santé dues à leur grande prévalence. Mes intérêts pour ces pathologies visent à évaluer les moyens d’investigation ainsi que les facteurs de risque reliés aux traumatismes mineurs en pédiatrie. Cette évaluation se fait au moyen de recherche épidémiologique clinique.
