    Intérêts de recherche

    Le système nerveux entérique joue un rôle capital dans la motilité digestive et la sensibilité viscérale. Il influence également au niveau intestinal de nombreux événements physiologiques (flux sanguin local, sécrétion d’eau et électrolytes, système immunitaire entérique). Notre activité de recherche en laboratoire est orientée principalement vers l’étude de la capacité d’adaptation du système nerveux entérique lors d’événements physiologiques (adaptation postnatale) ou pathologiques (inflammation colique). Nous étudions également des événements survenant très précocement dans la vie (période néonatale) qui sont capables d’induire des modifications du système nerveux entérique à l’âge adulte. Notre travail porte sur le rôle et la régulation de l’expression de PSA-NCAM, molécule d’adhésion neuronale, dans le système nerveux entérique.

    Notre activité de recherche clinique a pour objectif de décrire et comprendre les mécanismes physiopathologiques à l’origine des pathologies congénitales (atrésie de l’œsophage, entéropathie postocclusive, maladie de Hirschsprung, pseudo-obstruction intestinale) ou acquises (maladies fonctionnelles gastrointestinales, reflux gastro-oesophagien, infections du système nerveux entérique) chez l’enfant. Nous étudions également certains médicaments (inhibiteurs de la pompe à protons) utilisés dans les désordres digestifs chez l’enfant.
