    Sommaire de carrière

    Le Dr Stefan Parent, MD, PhD, chercheur principal, chirurgien orthopédiste et chercheur-clinicien s’intéresse plus particulièrement aux anomalies du rachis. Il est détenteur de nombreuses bourses en tant que chercheur principal ou cochercheur dans les domaines de la progression de la scoliose idiopathique, de la modulation de la croissance du rachis et de la cage thoracique ainsi que dans le développement de plusieurs modèles animaux.

    Il a récemment obtenu une subvention Fonds des leaders de la Fondation canadienne pour l'innovation pour la création d’un laboratoire d’orthopédie pédiatrique expérimentale au CHU Sainte-Justine. Ce laboratoire a été a été mis sur pied spécifiquement pour développer des modèles animaux permettant d’étudier la modulation de la croissance du rachis.
